This is the second entry in a row that deals with Steven Curtis Chapman. In my last post, I attempted to correct a theological error in one of his songs. Today, I am assisting a brother to correct an error made towards Chapman.
At the True Church Conference, Voddie Baucham was speaking about "The Shack" and its erroneous notions. He said that Steven Curtis Chapman had endorsed the book and read a quote. His point was that this book is being widely accepted in Christiandom which is appalling. Unfortunately, the quote he read was not by Chapman but by Michael W. Smith.
Baucham regrets this error and is seeking to correct any damage he may have done to Chapman's name. You can read Baucham's explanation here.
Don't miss the point, however. "The Shack" is not faithful to the scriptures...regardless of who or who doesn't endorse it.
